Taipei, Dec. 14, 2012 (CENS)--Largan Precision Co., Ltd. and Genius Electronic Optical Co., Ltd. (GSEO) are expected to see revenue further increase in December after seeing their November revenues hit new higha mostly thanks to strong orders for high-end optical lenses primed for Apple products..

To keep up with the demands, the two companies have been striving to expand capacity. Largan is estimated to complete the expansion at a new factory in Taichung, central Taiwan, in the first quarter of 2013. The factory started pilot run in October 2012.

Largan is the foremost supplier of lenses for Apple iPhone5’s eight-megapixel cameras, and lenses for iPad mini’s and iPad4’s high-definition cameras.

GSEO’s major production site is in Xiamen of mainland China. This production facility is being strained by excessive demands for lenses used in iPhone5. Industry executives estimated the company’s sales for the fourth quarter of 2012 to rise 50% from the third quarter, to NT$4 billion (US$137 million), and its earnings per share for the fourth quarter to outstrip the total recorded in the first three quarters of the year.
